Hey guys tore down my 19 hp kawasaki in my Toro commercial zero turn mower...new rings .gaskets etc....only problem the center case gasket I ordered they sent the wrong gasket after two weeks so just used rtv sealer like newer mowers use. Only problem is the two oil pump o rings were damaged and couldnt find them online so just used the rtv sealer around ports....started right up but noticed when I adjusted valves that there was no oil in the valve covers .....dont wont to burn it up just wondering if not using the o ring seals where the oil pump meets upper enjine case would cause bad oil flow to top end...Any help appreciated. There is not pressurized oil to the valve train. This area relies on splash or windage lubrication.

No oil pressure and you're toast 😬 ask @StarTech if he knows where you can get the seal.

Thanks guys....1st rebuild on the Kawasaki......the prefix is FH580V-AS16 I pulled valve covers and normally there is an accumulation of noil in the bottom that will drain out....The center case gasket I ordered they sent exhaust gaskets.....got tired of waiting so used high temp RTV sealant...mated cases let set 30 minutes ....torqued to specs....just a little worried that not having the two oil pump o ring seals between may cause a loss os oil pressure....maybe worrying for nothing......just hate to see it fly apart! anyway thanks so much for your help.....

FH580V-AS16

I going have to call my distributor on this one. IPLs not showing any O-rings used between the crankcase and the cover plate (sump) and I getting conflicted info on the crankcase cover gasket. One place I get 11060-7008 and another one that I rely on has it as 11061-1497. Both are valid numbers but which one is correct I will have to find out. Also I to ask about the o-rings. I suspect you ordered the 11060-7008 gasket.

Now as RTV if used should only finger tight for 12-24 hrs and then torqued down. Also you then wait another 12 hrs before adding oil so the RTV gets fully cured.RTV will not hold if not fully cured. Also it can squeeze out and clog oil passages when not fully cured. Besides the gasket used is also a shim to provide correct clearances.

11060-7008 is supposed to be the engine sump gasket. No hint of sump O rings. And the 11061-1497 is coming back to a 2017 Kawasaki motorcycle.

Okay my tech got back and he coming with the 11060-7008 too. But he is requesting the equipment model number so he could go from that side of things just in case we got a incorrect model spec number case.

11060-7008 is the correct gasket. No orings, no sealant. @StarTech is correct that the gasket is also a shim and must be used. Also, don't forget the washer that sits on the snap ring at the end of the camshaft.
