You were saying complete Simonton windows into concrete block, top of the line windows with labor it sounds like the right price to me. Yes mine were cheaper but also they were inserts which just go in place of the old windows, lot less labor and also mine are cheaper brand windows. My old windows are Anderson windows which are 40 years old and will say only 4 windows really needed replacing and they could of been repaired. Anderson sells a complete repair kit and your window is like a new window when the repair kit is installed. The Anderson repair kits were more money then then the Ellison inserts with labor. Then seeing I was going the have the job done by a contractor I replaced all my windows. My whole job started out I was going to just have vinyl siding installed on my house. Then when the sales men looked at the siding job, they said to me you need new windows also. I know on a real windy day they did make some whistling noises so I knew they had to be leaking air. As a rule I am not a person that takes to heart what a sales person tells me.

Just talked to the contractor and mine will be delivered Monday 3/24/2014 said they be here 8 to 9:00am Got an idea this may be interesting.

Well there suppose to be here Monday but there's a 50% chance of rain so will see how it goes. I'll get some pictures and get posted when there finished.
These are the ones I'm having them replace. Four of the one on the right and just one of the double slider for now.

My brother in law installed pella windows in his house and was very satisfied with them. I am sure you will be happy with your choice. I am finding with my new windows I don't hear the outside noises like wind as much.

Glad to hear feedback like that I did a little research on them but someone that has them, and likes them is better than any research. What series did he get?

I really don't know too much about the windows other then they were about ten years old and he died. Just that when ever he would mention them it was always a positive thing. Windows isn't really what we talked about as a family unless we were having a problem with them.
