Hey

I currently own a roper rt 16 with a kohler 10 hp engine, Still needs a little work doing to it recently had grizzly quad tyres put on the back and a stack being measured to go onto it and even managed to put on a foot pedal instead of the old hare and tortoise hand throttle :D

I don't use the roper to cut grass at all to admit i have a few friends and we go to a small 8 acre field and do a lot of mud bogging on them

just joined up so i have somewhere to go if i need to ask a question or two when i get stuck on a job so looking forward to what the forums can offer me advice wise

Thanks :D

I'm not sure if this is the place to ask but at the moment im just testing the foot throttle and managed to work it off a bike lever with a cable of it but i really do not like seeing a brake lever on a ride on it looks a tad tacky !! So i was wondering would anyone know any way i would manage to work it off a small tractor/car foot pedal instead of the brake lever but i cant think of a way to mount it so it will push down and work like a normal foot throttle ??

:welcome: Glad you are here. I like your rider. Keep in mind that if you lock the rear axle the front end will have some serious push.

I all so used a bike brake lever and cable only way to use a car gas pedal is to run a pulley with it then the mud gets in it and cable jumps off.

If your going to play in the mud do not lock the rear end makes it very hard to turn or do donuts.

I took wire mesh and made a cover over the air filter box keeps some mud out of the air cleaner.

Nice looking tractor

Have you done any mods for more speed?

(( racing is the only sport that you need two balls ))

Hey thanks for the help i have seen i guy on youtube fearlessfronts manage to use a car pedal but i had no clue that could happen. And not quite yet i am going to put a 5" engine pulley and a 3" trans pulley (i think thats what there called) to start with then work up. Do you recomend any mods?
