Just a Toyota (car). With this light of a trailer & load I just wanted to use the existing cars we have. I got a hitch for the car a few weeks ago.

Nice trailer. And now maybe you will not break anymore mower handles carrying your blower on them.

Should be easy to back up with that vehicle, at least you can see the trailer to know were it going when backing up.

With any trailer it becomes second nature to back trailers up. I firmly believe people in spokane need to have a licence to drive a trailer there are some dimwitted trailer drivers here. It's not hard to do it right. I've seen people fail at backing up, don't know when to turn the wheels what direction to turn them. Jack knifes, people trying to so a Sharp u turn. Just take it easy and practice backing up before you take it out. And remember you are 2+ car lenghts long and unable to take turns sharp.

Cool trailer. I'd love to have one. If it was me I'd get some chains and make brackets to lock everything down from thieves. I worry a bit about leaving things on my truck when I'm doing a lawn and I'm working in the back yard.
Oh and a heavy duty clutch and the best brake pads you can afford might not be a bad idea if you're pulling it a lot w/ a car.
I bet you're gonna love that ramp :)

Nice trailer. I think Im gonna buy 10ft and 16ft long old camper frame with axle to build my own trailer(s).

Yeah I know! Or wear the wheels out!

I hope it will be! :cloud9:

Luckily this trailer is less than a car length (pretty short), so I don't have to take turns too much wider.

What are you hauling on it LMF?

That is what I pull my trailer with. Toyota Camry. Works out fine for me and a lot cheaper and easier then running a pick up truck. The only problem I have with mine is it is too narrow at 63 in. because I can't get a 60 in. cut mower on it.

Snowblower, shovels, and ice melt in the winter.

Mower, trimmer, edger, blower, and gas in the other seasons.

I have that same sized trailer. Mine has the cheapo expanded metal instead of wood. The ramp on mine is real good. The floor is ok but needs wood if heavy things are hauled. I think you have a longer hitch on yours. That is supposed to be better. Mine works ok. But. It bounces up and down a great deal even at very low speeds. That upsets the carbs on one of my lawnmowers and then it will not start for a couple hours. Keep things well strapped down as I have seen a couple nice walk behind mowers bounced over the sides every spring when the lawn racers arrive. One lawntractor bounced off by the gas station and another brand new real nice Cub Cadet came in all bashed up after the hitch came loose from the ball on the way home from Tractor supply. If the roads there get plenty of slush on them like they do here I would keep my blower covered or well lubed as the splatter is going to be pretty bad. Make sure your release handle on your trailer has a pin or bolt through it to prevent it coming open and carry a spare in case you drop that one down a crack in the driveway. Keep the hinge pins greased on your ramp or they will bind up before long and at the most unhandy of times. That is a nice trailer. Now get to work.

That's one of the problems with small trailers is the bounce form lack of weight, and you can't really put trimmer racks on one because they get know support and the trimmers and anything else you put in them takes a beating.

yes. just take them off before you lower the ramp. just lock them in real tight. maybe even use like ratchet straps.

yes. just take them off before you lower the ramp. just lock them in real tight. maybe even use like ratchet straps.

That might get annoying if you have to take the trimmer off, take the blower off, put down the ramp, unload the mower, mow the lawn and then load the mower, put up the ramp, put up the trimmer, put up the blower, etc.
If you wanted to save space on the "floor" of the trailer IMO it would be better to mount the blower on the fender or tongue of the trailer, not the ramp gate.

Where are you mounting the racks?? Keep in mind that every time you load and unload a mower that ramp is going to flex and besides that the ramp is going to move even in the up position it's going to be loose.

well, you wouldnt even need to put racks on the trailer since these jobs are all pretty much local. just tie the trimmers and blower down on the deck of the trailer.

Here is my solution to the expensive wheel boots, I make my own, out of wood. You can custom size them, I use them on my mower and edger! I made a variation to hold crates, fuel cans ect. For example the boot on the mower was made by recycling the plywood from my old truck box cover. I just attached a cut down 2x4 to the side of it, drilled holes and put bolts thru it (I found if the bolts are extended about 1 1/2 inches it works the best). Placed the boot where I wanted it and drilled thru the floor of the trailer. I went underneath and screwed a 2 x 4 to the floor to cover the holes, went back inside and redrilled the holes to the proper depth and inserted the custom made boot. I made these for crates and fuel containers. Only takes minutes to make and inexpensive and you can make them to any size you like.

Hey Tuttled I like your thinking. I don't mow commercially but I do haul mowers frequently in my little 4x8 and having places built exactly to fit the stuff u want to carry like that is a great idea. I'll have to look at what I want to carry and sketch out some plans. Be nice to wedge everything in tight.

If there wasn't 2 1/2 feet of snow to go thru to get to the trailer I would take one out and post a picture or 2. We should be starting spring clean ups in about 6 weeks!

2-1/2 feet of snow sounds fun. What part of the country are u in? This is my little trailer. Since the deck and walls are all wood building and attaching some of those things wouldn't be too hard.

I'm in central Canada. A lot less snow this year compared to last year. But last year was excessive. But temps have been cold.

Stops my mower and edger from moving around, I use ratchet straps on the aerator and power rake as they are to heavy to hold them securely. I also use a bungee on the edger near the top as it is tippy.
