Mower starts good at startup

I have a question for your expert advice,my mower after turning it off after awhile doesn't want to start but crank,.after leaving it alone it will start.is it carb or coil going bad

It's my snapper rear engine mower 12 hp 281223BVE

Use my snapper yesterday morning and turn on as usual but after shutting it off and coming back to it no starting up .But l left it alone for about 30-45 minutes it starts as normal.any suggestions

We need the model numbers off of the engine to be of more help. I would guess the valves are too tight myself.

Vent open on the fuel cap?
After fire solenoid sticking?
Good fuel flow AT the carb?
Can you fill the fuel tank and see a solid flow while emptying the tank out 100%? This should negate bugs and junk in the fuel tank.

Slomo, I'll check it out and do that.Thank you. Is the fuel filter be before or after shut off valve.
