I will be in my northern home next week and will snap a pic of my 1964 Toro "Snow Hound" attachment Power Handle blower. A hand me down from my Father (RIP) but it still runs like a top. Recently, the recoil starter spring popped. I can't figure out how to rewind it myself, and I've watched the Youtube videos. I may actually have a dealer do this for me that has experience doing it. Probably needs a tune-up anyway and I don't have time for it this summer.

Does anyone remember the Toro "Power Handle" line? That seemed like a great idea IMO. One motor that popped on a bunch of accessories. I wish I had the Reel Mower attachment. That would be nice. All I ever see for sale is the entire package of everything on eBay.

Found this on Youtube:

Yep, that's the SnowHound on the Power Handle.
I think there is someone on this forum that knows about and has one, I can't think of their name. If you start a thread asking about it someone may see it and help you out. I think the Power Handle idea is great, very versatile. Thats why I like Gravely, they have so many attachments.

It's a 36" monster, the biggest Ariens makes. I added LED lights because the original light blinds me as I walk it around. I got those wheels up front so it rolls nice. The wheels will out last the skids by 20 to 1. If the bearing (wheels) should fail, I can simply replace it. I found a big box on ebay from some shop going out dirt cheap. Machine was $3,400 ouch.

Here are the pictures of the 36" machine with LED lights.

Nice Setup!!!

I have a 725DT now plus have the snow-blower that I had on a 1992 Grasshopper 612, I would need to update the mount on the snow blower to the new style, my dealer says around $100.

I cant imaging how that thing will work on your 727. My old 612 never ever had any HP issues until I would re-blow snow (packed tight) and even then it just would open the governor fairly well.

As I remember the Grasshopper snow blower would throw the snow 45' no problem.

Again Nice machine put up a photo in action when you get a chance!

There are times when I could use a monster like that, but I get by OK with my old trusty 9hp Simplicity with a cab. Your machine was made not too far from where I live. The Ariens Co. has greatly expanded its snow blower manufacturing over the last few years. It is the major employer in little Brillion, WI. When the country experiences a big snow season, Ariens profits from the fallout.

Personally speaking, I hate snow and the associated long winter that comes with it, but blowing snow itself is sort of fun. My avatar describes more fully what I would rather be doing.
