Left steering arm stiff. Any help appreciated

My 1995 718K 52'' left steering arm gets hard to push forward at times. Half the time it moves normally. Reverse action, works normally. Changed the hydro reservoir oil and filter. No help! Tried adjusting the forward reverse linkage but no help. I returned adjustment back to original setting. Anyone else have this problem?[/B]

I would check all the joints in the system for corrosion, Then check your dampeners.

on my older 928d there is a grease zerk.not sure if yours has one but if it does might just need a little grease..russ

The arm has zero resistance, it just opens & closes a valve that is why there is a damper on there
