Are you sure? Because i got a new air filter and my Kawasaki engine started surging, but today when I mulched the leaves and got dust in it it surged much less.

Although the fuel shut off valve on my tractor is known to get junk in it and clog up so i might check that soon.

Did you get a completely new air filter? If so your engine is getting too much air and when you get crud in your filter it will return to normal.

I will try and be nice.

I have read a lot of off the wall things on here. This one made the top ten.

If it runs good with a clogged up filter then there is a problem. It is the same as running with the choke closed.

If the engine is surging you have a problem with the carburetor in the low speed circuit part of the carb. You might want to give the carburetor a good cleaning. I find a plugged air filter will give you a rich running engine that just runs like crap with black smoke.

So you are saying I'm not getting enough fuel?
