Husqvarna 2348 won't crank using the key

The tractor was shut off recently and then would not start. I checked the fuse and it is fine. I jumped the solenoid to get it started and then checked the seat and brake interlocks and they shut the engine off as they should. When I use the key to shut it down, it keeps sputtering and I need to release the brake and get off the seat to let the interlocks kill the motor. I also noticed that the hour meter is not running. I replaced the ignition switch since it was cheap but no change. Any advice on where to look? Thanks

Look at the hour meter and make sure both wires are on good.
Hold the key to start and wiggle the fuse around.
Mine did this it was a bad fuse holder.

Do you have 12+V on solenoid post(battery side)?
On the solenoid there should be 2 small wires, one wire will be ground and other supplys 12+V while starting. Leave the ground wire hooked up, take other wire(white I believe) off and insert positive probe and negative probe to a good ground while normally starting. What voltage do you have? Also what year is your 2348?

I do have 12v on the supply side. Did not check on the small wires but will do when I can get back out to it. I bought the tractor new in 2012.

OK, checked the white wire, 0v with key off, goes to 12v when the key goes to start position. According to the schematic, that tells me that the PTO and brake contacts are working. Only thing left in that path is the solenoid, correct? Or am I missing something else? Thanks for the help.

Having said that, the solenoid doesn't explain why my hour meter isn't working though.

Do you have 12+V on solenoid(starter side) when trying to start, white wire reconnected back up?
Do you have power on the A1 of your ignition switch? Blue wire goes to hour meter.

Yes, power on the blue wire at switch. Also checked at hour meter, 12v on blue and ground on the black so looks like hour meter is dead.
With the key turned on, I have just under 12v on the white wire. It bumps up to just over 12v when I turn the key to start position. No voltage on the starter side when key turned to start position.

Bad solenoid since you have 12V+ on the white wire, should have had 12+V on solenoid starter side when cranking.
