So. I have a Craftsman Riding mower and its rear differential won't unlock and I need to move it from where it currently is. But the rear differential will NOT unlock at all! it shifts and the neutral lock moves but doesn't work. Please help me quickly. Thank you!

What model number rider? They are not all the same.

Is the foot brake/ clutch locked down?

At the rear of most riders there will be a single pull rod with a right angle sticking out. Pull lightly on the rod and rock the machine slightly to see if the releases and allows the wheels to roll.

Well. I already took the rear wheels off as it wasn't unlocking and still isn't, so I took the wheels off to work with it more, but I even tried the neutral lock switch and it fell out.. I took off the rear attachment plate to get more access.

Sounds like the Brake disk is corroded and siezed to the pads. I had this recently on a Murray.
