HARD TO FIND PARTS

I am looking for a carburetor for a vanguard 16 hp. Part #808728 . They are apparently non existent. If so what can I replace it with? Most carbs have throttle and choke connections on top. This one has them out the side. ANY IDEAS?
 
If I remember anything about a year to 18 months ago someone came here looking for the same carb. I think the only place he found one was in Europe. Good Luck.
 
Found one. Says he has over 10.
I would call to make sure as no pictures.

It will depend weather it is a USA or Japaneese engine.
I had a lot of trouble getting acarb for some 9 hp's on shredders bought job lot from local civic authority.
Ended up emaiing Vanguard Japan direct and they sent the parts to my local B & S dealer.
B &S austraia do not carry nor list the carbs or any carb parts.

Link does not work.... CARB. NOT AVAILABLE...16HP. VANGUARD ENGINE MINUS CARB. FOR SALE......MAKE OFFER

My son & I searched for B&S 808728 a year ago, no luck, purchased rebuild kit ran great happy customer. You will need code number from engine for locating correct kit.


There are four different carburetor kits available for carburetor 808728, code number from engine is necessary for correct kit, Google kit number and shop for best price.

I think I’m in the same boat as ya. The carb linkages are on the right side lookin at it on motor? On mine it says something like Artsum or something. Ya I can’t find one either but would be great if someone comes up with some.
