Hi All

Purchased an Apex 60 in October. I have yet to use it in anger. Its a LOT more machine than I need but was the only one in stock with serviceable trans axles and at least a 10 ga deck.

I live right on the coast so sandy / salty mowing is going to be my problem. I've coated the underside of the deck with Slick Plate hoping that helps. Any advice, specific or general, would be most welcome.

Hello to all, my first visit. Not very mechanically gifted but have tried to get better my entire life. Spent last 14 yrs with best mower I've ever owned, a Gravely 48" ZT HD. In past have had it serviced at the local shop by the pros with good results and am itchin to do a little myself. Only have 750 hours on her and have changed the oil/filter myself once. Did a capacitor change out twice now. Keep her inside but the dad gum mud dobbers still get under shroud so I clean it out twice a yr. I am told the Texas heat eats up the capacitors, but am getting good at telling when shes only hitting on one. Current challenge is to change out the hydromotor fluid/filters. Cant seem to make any headway on drain plug removal. Tried every hex nut size, what is the secret? My owner's manual offers up a "or" remove the input hose from reservoir but that seems a bit higher up to fully drain the unit. Will it fully drain with removal of filter by itself? I hate the idea of leaving any old stuff, not to mention not being able to see if ay metal flakes reside there too. I could use some friendly sage advice right now on this first day of spring, my favorite time of the year.
