Hi Guys,

Settle down, settle down! We recently implemented a profanity filter, and the word list used wasn't configured correctly.

We have updated the profanity filter to include the bad words we really don't want used on the forum---should be ok now.

There are a few words that have been used somewhat frequently that we'd rather not see in the forums. Hopefully you guys will understand our decision to filter extreme profanity from the forums.

It's cool man, as long as you don't start censoring our thoughts. I really don't know what kind of power you have.

Problem we have here is, too many of the MEMBERS seem to think they have the power to censor something like "HTF" because they want to be big operators and seem important, when in truth they are actually smaller and less important than what my cat deposited in the litter box this morning....and they STINK a lot worse. :laughing::licking::licking::licking:

IMO, any words I have used that offended certain members here are NOT generally considered profanity, if someone here has a dirty mind and takes offense with the words I use I think they should keep their opinions to THEMSELVES and not try to play moderator because that is YOUR place, and not theirs. You can censor me all you want and I will apologize if my choice of words is offensive to you, BUT, repeat BUT, any member here on LMF aside from YOU who condemns words in my postings because they take issue with what I say, is out of place. Hope I make myself clear.

Yes, I'm back - and here's why:

Muhammad sent me a PM yesterday (which I also recieved via email), and explained that the censorbot was not set up right, and was waaay too restrictive. I thought all the rest of the day about it, and most of today. I was undecided as to whether I should stand my ground, or come back.
I did look at the posts through my phone, although I maintained my silence.

Thanks to all who asked for me to reconsider. You are what swayed me to do just that.

However, I notice that other threads that get reported and complained about seem to stand untouched (like pokes to my gut and advertising threads), while two little p---ants crying the blues about acronym and innuendo can get the censorbot implemented the day Muhammad gets wind of it. Still makes me mad as hell, but there is no reason to punish the whole forum for that.

The bot has been turned down to what we would have censored ourselves anyway, so it's okay now. Still, it was the whole idea that still doesn't settle well with me, but I'm here for you guys (most of you) after all.
