I am wonder what a Good J D LT 166 Mower Deck is worth, it a 46in. cut, has never slept out side, good belt, not new but not bent up, ready to hook up and mow, what would be a fair price for it,

Put it up on Craigslist for 2-3 hundred bucks or best offer, you will find out soon enough.

Funny thing is you can get more for the deck then the whole mower. Depends on where you are at. 100 miles from me you can get around $300 for it. Any one around here will maybe give you scrap value for it.

(( cowboy up and get over it ))

Yeah, craigslist works better if you live near a major city. I pretty much make my living parting out equipment, it is funny that I can 5 times as much by parting out something, rather then selling it as a whole good running unit.

I also sell old OPE inventory and do well at that too.

The bigger the part/item, makes it more impractical to ship, which is where craigslist can be handy.

You have a mower deck that's at the lease 12 years old or older. I can see if someone has a older mower that needs a deck. Just how much would that person want to spend on a 12 + year old mower? It might be a good idea to see what models and years that that deck would fit and that might give a better chance of selling it. The last year the LT166 was made was 2001.
