Hi everyone

Got my etesia baiha up and running after rebuilding it from scratch.

Everything now works and it cuts etc but it somtimes stalls when cutting thick grass. This is a gouvner carb setup issue

Do you know of a guide or how i can set up the gouvner ,throttle cable and carb to get it running perfect. Its not running at full power also a bit slow when driving it reverses faster than going forwards ha ha.

Etesia baiha mbhe 1998 hydro Briggs 28M707 engine

It would help if you told us what the engine was and what type of govenor the engine has.
There are air vane, mechanical & vacuum pressure govenors.

It sounds like the engine isn't running fast enough. May need to be put on a tachometer to find the rpm's of the engine and set them in the 3400-3600 rance.

I got a tacco but when i set it to the correct rpm the throttle lever dose not function it will stay flat out wether in fast or idle.

Were is best point to start then. Because everything was removed when it was rebuilt i emagine all the adjustments would need to be done.

The throttle opens the butterfly and the govenor closes it.
So you loosen the clamp on the govenor arm and holding the butterfly fully open rotate the govenor shaft in the same direction fully then clamp it.

Thanks .... sorted the gouvener now. I noticed on the throttle plate there are verious holes marked A 1 2 B R. By looking at them i can only think you put somthing in the hole while adjusting the verious settings am i right?

No.
The one plate is used for every application of that engine and the different holes give you different settings.
None of them alter the top speed usually the idle speed and how fast the govenor responds, so don't fool with them.

Ok thanks for that bert  .

So whats the procedure now for setting the engines top and idle speed in sync with the throttle lever.
