I took the engine off a John Deere lt155 and put it on a swisher pull behind. I pulled all the wiring harness, relays, and safety switches off and I can get the engine to run but I want to eliminate all the wiring that I can. I just want to be able to start and stop the engine with the key switch and charging system to work

Are you using the key switch off the JD to run the Swisher ?

12 volts to key switch - from there go to the small terminal on your solenoid, battery cable to large terminal on solenoid, other side of the solenoid ( large terminal ) to starter lug. you'll need voltage supply to your voltage regulator from your key ( on ) position - the Off position on the key should ground out the kill wire .

Thank you for the replies. I ordered a new key switch for it and it will run. I’m just trying to get rid of the extra wire’s that go to the two relays and three safety switches that was on the JD mower.
