ok, so I have an echo srm-225 that I bought used because I thought I could fix it... (I usually can) it will run and die when I pour some gas into the carburetor opening but that's it. I cleaned the carb out and it still wont run should I try rebuilding it or just buy a whole new carb? thanks and please help!

Are you using Echo 2-cycle oil mix in gas 92 or 93 octane?

I'm using echos oil and regular gas in it my other echo runs great with that gas/oil the guy I bought it from said that it sat for over a year with gas in it so I'm sure it's just plugged up beyond just rebuilding the Carb. Wouldn't you think?

Have you already changed the plug, both the air and gas filter, checked the spark arresting screen?

I would replace fuel filter & fuel lines. I would clean ultrasonically and rebuild if needed. Easier to just buy a new carb.

It really is much easier to simply replace.
