Got this out from winter storage in the shed.
New battery today .
Engine starts but is hammering loud and blowing lots of oil & smoke out the exhaust. Dies after about 10 seconds.
I bought it new over 25 years ago.
about 700 hours on it.
Oil changes & filter every couple of years.
My guess is a stuck piston ring.
What to do.
