Buying Advice Ariens Sierra

I`m looking at a couple different mowers for my dog field / Park . I ran across this Ariens Sierra mower , and wondering , if any reviews someone has on this mower . I attached a couple pics of it for a reference . How dependable are these machines ? Any info greatly appreciated . Their asking price is $500.00 with free delivery localy

I , being new to riding mowers dont know what to get , its between the Ariens Sierra with 14 HP tripple bagger or a craftsman LTX 1000 18 HP double bagger . Here are my choices pictured below , with owners description , I dont know which one is the better of the two , we are on a limited budget and these two are within our budget .

Craftsman with 18 HP Kohler Pro OHV full pressure lube. Automatic transaxle, shifter on fender controls forward or reverse. 42" mower deck in new condition.-2 new blades & 2 new blade mandrels. PTO belt replaced. Electric PTO starts/stops blades. Yearly maintenance just completed. $550

I would go with the craftsman it by far the better built mower. You would be getting more mower for the money. From what the seller is saying he just put about $150 into it.

I would get it. I just bought one from our local dealer used for $750 including tax I love it, They also have cruze control! :thumbsup: The orignal price they wanted was $895 but I talked them down.
DO NOT GET A CRAFTSMAN!!

I'll add my 2 cents worth....that B & S Vanguard engine is the best small engine Brigss ever built!! I had one that saw 19 years of service with regular annual maintenance and still ran like the day I bought it(still didn't use a drop of oil between seasons...but the deck was falling apart around it:0)
My next-door-neighbor has an Ariens Zoom ZTR with exactly the same 16hp Vanguard engine in it he has been using for over 15 years. Between those two mowers...the Vanguard engine is worth more than the whole Craftsman lawn tractor:0)
