When you shut the deck off is the noise a clack, clack, clack, or a metallic rrrrrrtttttttt.

You appear to be missing a digit in your model number. Look at the base of the spindle and look for cracks @ where it bolts to the deck.

It is metallic sound as if the blades are hitting the deck or another metal object.

Okay I guess it's time to drop the deck and take a very close look at it. Thanks for the idea. The model number is eight digits on the manual cover. Should I be looking elsewhere?

Should be on a tag on the back, or under the seat. The tractor with the model number you gave is old, very old.

The tractor is four years old. Attached is the cover of the manual showing the model number. Thanks.

I'd suspect the blade brake.
