I have a 2006 ZForce50 that I am having trouble with one of the hydro transmissions on. The right side is sticking and not driving as well as the left side. It is usable, but very frustrating. I am looking for any advise on servicing or repairing the hydro, part number I have from the online manuals is Cub Cadet 01008193. Any help would be appreciated. I saw a thread about changing the gear oil, is there a procedure available for doing that? Thanks

I couldn't see any numbers on the Hydro, but I haven't pulled it yet either, might be on the top side. Model number for the Mower is 53AA5B7p710 with a SN 10D136Z02035 03/2006. Left handle moves forward and reverse with ease, and recenters when released. Right side requires force in both directions and has to be centered, will not recenter. Thanks for a quick reply.

Yes, no difference that I recall, running or not. When I went out to look for the numbers I moved the handles without it running, very difficult on right side.

Which hydro units do you have? EZT or 2800

Based on the Parts Tree diagram and the parts manual, they are IZT.

Have a close look at the linkages and pivots, they occasionally need some lube.
The control rod on the hydro has no resistance to movement is it just a valve, like your fuel tap.
All the hardwear between the hydro & the lap bar provide the centering and resistance to movement.

My hydro's act different with the engine not running. I would check the linkage for dirt and needing lubed.
