    Blade Clutch Switch Kills Mower

Well fellows, most of the time we "shade tree" mechanics overlook the obvious. I went back to the fuses (1-15 & 1-20amp)and checked voltage across them to discover the 20 amp fuse was blown. I did not look close enough to see the one of the bases of the "Z" was not there. P

Looking for first rider mower…We have about a half to 3/4 acre lawn front and back…

If those mowers have at least 42-48" cut width then consider : What goes wrong with the models you are considering generally are: Deck rust, belts, idlers, pulleys, and blade spindles. If you are capable of replacing these parts then for $200-$400 you can have a mower that will last you for a...

Re flywheel swap: to have the wiring harness compatible with the mower harness. The 17 has a different alternator arrangement than the 10.5. 2. Re carb swap: The 17's carb has been sitting up for a long time ..carb bowl is very corroded. Thanks for your input, bartles

    B&S 10.5hp....repower with 17HP?

Throwing this out here for an opinion(s)....will a 17 HP B&S run reasonably well with a 10.5HP intake/carb system? Re-jetting the carb required? The small engine has a ventilated block. The 17hp engine has the same footprint and general fit up requirements. I was thinking of using the 10.5...

    Beat Up Battery Blues

I'd like some input on mower battery recommendations for equipment in the 38-42" cut class...12-20 hp. I suppose it's a low cost vs quality situation. Use 230-300ah discount store batteries and replace them every 2 years OR use more expensive AGM battery? In our area the grass growing season...

    L120 Blade Clutch......history of issues?

It is unusual to go through so many clutches in that short period of time. Not doing this burnishing procedure may be the very reason why.
