Did you apply any choke or primer when trying to restart? I have seen issues when people use choke / prime on a warm engine and it floods it. To be clear - I would always try to restart a warm engine with NO choke / prime.

I did confirm I was able to fix two different engines with a primer issue by using a sealant /glue to seal the edges of the gasket onto the base plate. Happy to have this sorted out.

I have a couple of nice mowers with torn foam padding on the area you grab to push the mower. It does not have a split seam on the bottom or anything so I think I would need to remove the upper bar and lubricate and slide the padding onto the handle - sound right? Any other options? Thanks!
