I am restoring a neglected HR215 lawn mower. The carb was leaking so I pulled it to clean it up. There does not appear to be a rubber needle seat but the tip of the needle is rubber. I tried using a briggs needle seat and it was slightly too big.
Did these older Honda's not have a rubber, removable seat? When I look at parts diagrams it shows the needle and says the seat is not included but there is no seat identified or available in the replacement parts for this carb.
I did try to clean the rubber tip which looked okay and there was a bit of white crusty stuff in the seat cavity which I cleaned the best I could.
Thoughts?
