We got them changed. Left rear pulley on and slid both bearing off over the splines. I used a piece of chain link fence top rail to drive rear bearing back down the shaft. that way I was pushing on inner part of bearing and not damaging bearing

I agree with OEM parts. They are not that much more expensive and engineered for the application.

I know the Kubota 3 cylinders sound like a sewing machine when running. I see machines with 1000's of hours and they are still running. I dont think you can beat a Kubota power plant. They even look like a industrial engine as opposed to a mower engine

Try some local dealers. Most have salvage machines out back.

Not sure. Just have to look online. Looks like the soft cab uses the hard top roof to mount to. I have to use ski goggles when using mine

I would say probably 15' to 25'. Google it and watch the Grasshopper videos of them in action. They are accurate.

Go tyo your local dealer. They usually have some parts machines out back. That is not a part that wears out

yeah or deck is stuck somehow? Can you put a floor jack under deck and put some up pressure on it then hit button?

How many hours did that Kubota have on it. Did it blow?

The other thing is we are running 10w-30. If I used the summer weight 30W oil as opposed to the multi season it may use less. 30W only goes down to 50F

I just bought this machine this fall. My dad has a 723K With the non EFI 23 hp Kohler and it has always used a little oil. It has 690 hrs on it and still runs fine. I think the Kohlers just use a little oil.

I have blacktop. I have stock tires. The rubber wing extensions worked pretty good. 1st yr for them. They will gather soft stuff. No good for ice ect. Chains would be way to tough on a nice blacktop drive I would think...

Does anybody know if these bearings are pressed on to the shaft? I cant see anything that keeps the shaft from sliding back and forth as it is running? Like set screw or collar ect?

It is the 2 pillow block bearings that support the PTO shaft on the 600-700 series front deck Grasshoppers. Sorry for not clarifying:):)

Is it as easy as unbolting front and back bearings and dropping shaft? Do bearings just slide off the spline end of shaft? I did a searrch on the forum and could not find much on this. Thanks for any advice!

I have not had problems with the 5' blower. I have not tried the 4' yet. I guess on the first pass it could be a problem. After that only 1 tire would be in some snow. I was thinking of cutting some rubber mud flap material and extend the wings down to get a little wider cut.

Has anybody had to change this? If so is it tough and how long did yours last? I have 325hrs and dont have a problem, but just curious what I am in for when/if it decides to go out. I have the T6 drive system
