and actually, personally when the engine DOES go, id just rebuild it if you have the knowledge, but its cheaper then a brand spankin new engine

to be honest man.........run it as long as you can, but ACTUALLY take care of it, and don't TRY to destroy the motor like you are now, because that money for a new engine you might need for something else down the road, and you might wish you never got that engine..... just my 2 sense

okay so on alot of these threads, somebody asks a question about there mower, and you guys usually say: "to make this easier on you and us we will need your serial number on the mower" then the person usually gives you the model number, and then you come back soon and tell them the EXACT type...

we used to have one with a dead battery, it would start with a jump, and the PTO would only engage if the battery was being charged/jumped, but if you turned off the pto while mowing, it would not turn back on ( PTO ) unless there is something charging the battery. we got a new battery and...

you say you have checked your fuses, but have you checked your connections? a loose connection could be wobbling around causing the pto to engage/disengage, and if you have exposed wire it may be shorting out on any other metal or the cassis. and is your battery dead?

how/when did you figure out it wouldnt work? and have you checked your fuses? usaually there is a fuse powering the electronics controlling the PTO

just to save any trouble, we need your serial/model numbers, it will make it much easier to help us direct and figure out your issue. for your tractor the serial number should be on the right side of the frame, near the middle.

are all you connections secure? any of them touching any other metal or even each other? because if you have any bare wire, it may be shorting out on the frame
