Nope, nothing wedged in the blades, they spin freely when I took off the belt to check the spindles. Belt isn't binding up on anything either.

It cranks and runs and drives fine it just does that when you pull the switch to engage the PTO for the blades.

Well after seven years my BB finally failed me. I was mowing with my ZT Elite 60 inch and stopped to move some stuff and when I got back on and pulled the switch to engage the blades it turned maybe a quarter turn and bogged the motor down. I checked the belt and then checked all the spindles...

I have a 60" ZT Elite with the Kawasaki engine I bought about 2013 and haven't had to do anything to it except new new bearings in the spindles and blades (lot of rocks here).

The Kawasaki engine on my B/B has the filter on the side unencumbered by anything so it is easy to remove, no need to remove the engine and it doesn't use metric threads for the oil filter. I use proven quality filters 'weather' they are made in the USA or not. Steve..........

If you are referring to me (not sure if you were) I do not have an obsession with cheap filters. I was searching for a replacement filter as Kawasaki had discontinued the one I had bought in bulk for my Bad Boy Kawasaki engine and came across the Laser filters and as I had never heard of them...

I was using Kawasaki filters but now I'll start using the Wix because they are readily available at O'Reillys. Maybe someone will post some info about the Laser filters, the price looked good. Steve............

New guy here, I have been using Bad Boy filters for my ZTE Elite 60" for a few years and was wondering if there is a cross reference oil filter I can pick up at Wally World or O'Reillys etc.? Thanks for any info. Steve........
