Engine NEED HELP

lx186 17hp hard to start week spark fuel pump is working rebuilt carb new plug good battery where should I look please help:confused2:

Model numbers of the engine would help us a lot. With the screwy weather we're having around here my ESP isn't working very well.

17hp k series codefc540v-as10 number under that one is fc540v16801 these numbers are off white lable on side of motor

How many hrs on it, and have you ever adjusted the valves?

never adjusted valves on it what are the specs on valves don't know hours just bought it last year ran good till end of last year

I am not sure on the Kawi engines but someone on here might know.

First thing I would check would be the coil gap as you say you a week spark.
See if the coil or fly wheel has rust on it and clean them with some fine sandpaper.
