yea i see how you feel, my Father in Law is 78 and he is and has always been 100 MPH, he can't do it anymore and now has bad knees etc. He still tries to do all of the yard work etc but has learned to rely on me for harder things, cutting wood, trees down and rebuliding equipment etc. I do more for him than any other person (he is actually my ex - father -in -law) go figure!! i enjoy doing things for a lot of people.

WOW!! i had a crazy weekend, sold 7 lawn mowers and fixed 3 others, fixed a chainsaw, had another dropped off for repair and got 3 other mowers ready for sale. also picked up a 917.273240 Craftsman rider YT4000 that i need to diagnose. sold 3 mowers to single Mom's as well and delivered 2 others. It makes me feel good to help folks out and keep the mowers out of the landfill etc. Yes I also make good pocket $$. 
update, i picked up an Montgomery Wards rider for $75.00 and got it running the other night, sold a Lesco Sulky i had and picked up 3 self propel mowers (Scotts, Craftsman & Troy-bilt) all for $50.00
Well I sold the Scott's mower the next day and the Craftsman is ready and for sale, the Troy-bilt will need additional work, it does have an aluminum deck though. I also sold two other mowers, Lawnboy 10323 and a Craftsman self propel. I picked up a like new Craftsman self propell with bag $50 & a like new John Deere 14SB with unused grass bag and original owners manual for $50. Also traded labor on installing a battery in a yard man rider for a Toro 824 snow blower in great shape that has French/English labels on it.

Looks like you are going full speed ahead in the mower business in Maryland, here in NY cold weather has returned and I am still heating my house with the wood fire.:frown:
i rebuilt the Mikuni carburetors on the two 14SB's and installed bushings in a Montgomery Wards MTD rider, also rebuilt a Tecumseh carb and shined some of the chrome on the 14SB, changed the oil in the MTD rider and cleaned the plugs. also got new air filtes for the 14SB's

Where in the world are you buying all these mowers from? Looks like you got more business and repairs then your local mower dealer.
Reynoldston, it is crazy !! i answer ads in Craigslist and word of mouth, the major factor is everyone with a yard needs / has a mower no matter if they have a big or small yard they need a mower. There are so many broken/not being used mowers in folks yards/sheds/garages etc. most of them don't know who to call to get rid/fix them. This is not rocket science. (i cannot reveal all of my secrets though). i have fixed almost every mower that i get unless it has a rusted deck then i utilize every part i can. it is fast fun and profitable for me.
Where do i begin, sold one of my JD 14SB's over the weekend, sold a Craftsman self propel, fixed two other mowers for a customer (Troybilt & Weedeater nock off), installed 8 yards of mulch, fixed a yardman mower, fixed a Honda mower, fixed a Craftsman MRS mower, fixed a troybilt mower, took my Son's T-ball team to the opener minor league game, i almost forgot, i had a call back fronm one of the single Mom's that her mower i sold her would not start. (long story short is that her 13 year old son poured what he thought was gas into the tank before even starting it for the firts time) mostly water in that there tank!!! i had to dis assemble and clean tank, float bowl carb etc and runs like a champ now. Charged her $10.00 for the gallon of gas and the drive over to her place. (i did several good deeds this weekend)...
