Wait, 2 cycle oil in the crankcase?

Yup. When I checked the oil, the stick was blue. It had me wondering if there was some sort of new oil out. Was "Royal Purple" really purple? A real head scratcher, since I've never used Royal Purple before. SO I said screw it, and changed the oil. When I smelled of the gas, it didn't smell right, so I drained it into that bottle.

When the customer came to pick up, he looked at the bill and got a little huffy with me about the oil change, because he said he just changed it. That's when I explained to him about how 2 cycle oil & gas is meant for 2 cycle engines. Not 4 cycle.

Funny how he wasn't mad (at me) anymore. Blamed it on his son. But since he'd already told me that "HE" changed the oil, I had my doubts.

One of the biggest issues that seem to plague people is letting other "tamper" with their equipment. One might get the impression that no one works on their own stuff anymore. That they let their brother in laws and sons do all their small engine repairs. LMAO

Wow.
People hardly ever own up to their own mistakes anymore.
