California's State Fair is opening. They've moved it this year (used to be late August). The food vendors have cut their fees by close to 25%. You should see these foods -- chocolate covered bacon? Oh my. Do you eat this strange stuff when you go to your fairs?

Wow, July seems early for a State Fair. The Virginia fair isn't until September. I like it during that time so that it's not too, too hot. Though you never can tell what September weather will be like in Virginia.

Ours is coming up in August. I look forward to the state fair quite a bit every year. We never manage to see everything though.
