Well that may be but when you take into consideration the cost difference in the tires plus the weight difference and what it's going to cost to use them you'll be throwing money away.

Ok :) glad someone told me I was actually just looking into tires but I will wait I definately need a spare tho :)

You can however go to a radial instead of a biased ply tire, that will help the tire life. Our tandem trailers were chewing through the rear tires when they were bias. Now we run radial and we get two seasons out of them vs. one with the bias.

Don't use a car tire on the trailer. How plys on a tire really don't matter that much, get what ever you want. They make Tires for trailer use only and they are a little cheaper and will and can be purchased for the load range of your trailer. I have the Kenda LOAD RANGE STAR K550 /75/15 and there trailer use only. It's a bias ply trailer tire and there designed to improve handling and enhance the ride characteristics of any towed vehicle.

Trailer tire construction is different from car and truck tires, therefore you need to choose the correct tire for your trailer or towing application. Look at your "Gross Vehicle Weight" (weight of load and trailer combined) when choosing the correct load range for your trailer. You never run a radial tire on a trailer unless it's designed for trailer use, it screws up the handling of the trailer plus they ware badly. Never put a car or truck tire/radial on a trailer.

When i was doing lawn and landscaping heavy I buy used tires that are in good shape every two years from a local dealer. 5 tires for $100. They last about the same amount of time as new tires.
 
Hey guys! New Years new member.. Here's my setup... This is my newest trailer.. I also have a 7x10 open landscape with a gate and a 16+ equipment trailer...
