JD PRICES are STRONG on EVERYTHING!

Now there are rare cases they are the best price. But most times I do find alternatives. Procurement of parts is definitely a challenge at times. They usually try their best to hide the OEM part numbers so most techs just buy the parts from JD.

The Tuff Torq parts are available through other vendors too or even be brought directly from them. For me I buy them though my distributor as I get a better discounted rate.

Why is John Deere stuff green?



It is the color of money.



As much as we like to complain about JD parts prices it costs a lot of money to provide a spares system like JD has. There is a reason equipment manufacturers who provide little to no spares support are priced where they are. Many times the stocking, picking and shipping is many times the cost of the actual part.
But they still are proud of the green.

Yep,
Been buying a lot of B &S parts through the local JD dealer lately
Cheaper than from an authorised B & S distributor and they always have the parts in stock
Where as the JD warehouse rarely has any parts that I need .
Down side is having to work out the JD part number
