I noticed there wasn't a thread on this yet (other than a few posts in this thread: http://www.lawnmowerforum.com/general-mower-discussion/4159-zero-turn-wet-hills.html) so I decided to create one.
I think this is pretty cool--and it could save a life! They are called TEDbrakes....front brakes for a zero-turn mower. See some info on them here: http://www.tedbrakes.com/

a little over2 ears ago, Ted came out with those... a Lot pricey for an add on, none of the manufacturers of ZTR's could see the cost/value add-on to buy his system.. It was kicked around in this thread: http://www.lawnmowerforum.com/mower-buying-pricing/3819-do-i-want-zero-turn-mower.html post #3 & #6
Not a bad idea... but for the very few applications that would benefit from the design, no makers could justify the costs. Everything attachments still carries them for those few folks with a need & $$$ ...
That thread was one of the many at the time that got into a garden tractor vs ZTR for "mowing"... there were many during that time where a couple people got very exercised, and Vocal about their bad choices for a given job... so they took out their frustration on anyone with anything good to say about ZTR's... :smile:KennyV
