HERE is what a well designed and engineered, carefully maintained and proudly owned tractor should appear like as it nears the 900 hour mark. My Deere never fails to put a grin on my face when I open the garage door and start it up, anticipating "seat time".....:thumbsup::biggrin::thumbsup:

I have a long way to go on the Massey, only about 70hrs. It does make me smile though when i see it because of the seat time.:smile: I am a John Deere man:wink: but the Massey is making me happy.:biggrin:

Boy, you have a LOT of levers sprouting from the fenderwell....my JD has only two, both for lift functions. I do recognize the loader joystick and what must be the throttle next to it. What are the other two on your fenderwell for?

Left fender is a lever to engage the front pto, a lever to engage the rear pto and a level to turn the ptos on. The right fender there's a lever for low and hi range, lever to engage front wheels, a lever for the mower/3ph and a lever for the cruise control.:biggrin:

Thank you...and I was only using a 2 mp Blackberry phone camera....

What I am also proud of is that acre of my north yard was at one time a corn field, with weeds as high as the background covering it. My JD helped me level it, clean it up, and turn it into a beautiful yard.

You have a great machine there, and you are obviously keeping it very well maintained, and that is something I love to see :thumbsup:

Won't be long before you're posting about your mower hitting the 1,000 hour mark eh ?

That's great JD! It's amazing what proper maintenance, and especially proper operation and a good mechanical sense of things can do to prolong the life of equipment.:biggrin: It starts making those rather significant investments look like a bargain, over time.:smile:

890 hours isn't much. That engine will go 4000 hours before you even start to consider a rebuild. Especially the way he is using and maintaining it.
The fact that it looks almost new says a lot about how it is maintained.
Did you get it welded up yet?
It's almost winter winter you are. Soon you will be raking leaves:biggrin:

I average about 100-110 hours a year, by the time it hits 4000 hours I will be either long gone or in a nursing home because I will be about 90 when that mark comes up. Maybe I can work off my room and board at the nursing home taking care of the grounds...:laughing::laughing:

Yeah, like they would want a 90 year old running a 2 ton tractor around the place, I could mow over a whole group of wheelie chair bound residents and never realize it....:laughing::laughing:

AT LEAST until deck cleaning time came around....:laughing::laughing:
