Yamaha MX825 EFI

I have a friend/customer that has the above engine on his Bad Boy mower. The issue is when his son uses it to pull the boat trailer around it sets off a issue with it running rich and blowing black smoke. There is a manual sequence to re-initializale the system that basically remaps the setup to make it run correctly He had the procedure printed out but has now lost it. And we don't have any close dealers to see if we can get a new copy of the procedures.

It sounds like a procedure similar to what was done with the Kohler TPS reinitialization when changing the battery or installing a new engine. Does anybody have the steps to reset the system.

Just shows why I store same info in multiple locations.

It might take contacting a will Gravely dealer for the info. The system does appear to be a Delphi system but not necessary one.

I might do some calling around Monday here as we have a Gravely/Ariens factory that just opened up in Fayetteville.

But it would had been nice if Yamaha made a decent service manual.
