I have the deck all sand blasted and ready for paint.(por15 with epoxy top coat) when complete I will install it and see what I got. The front stabilizer bar was in the wrong hole in the deck bracket. Correct me if I am wrong the bar should be installed in the top hole marked LT on the deck bracket. The more I work on this mess the more pissed off that I get at Cub Cadet. When I bought this it was supposed to be all adjusted and ready to go.
It never cut very good from day one.

Since I don't work for CC dealer I don't how these mower are shipped in. But I can tell you a lot inexperienced workers are involved at times. It does cause problems that have to corrected as they are found.

When I first moved and opened my shop here I was hit up for jobs by people that claimed to be knowledgeable about repairs but a few tech questions quickly ruled them out.

I don't it is the LT hole or not but here is an image from the owners manual that might help.

On my deck bracket there are two holes the top hole is stamped Lt and the bottom hole is stamped SLT GT the cub cadet parts break down says my model uses the Lt hole.
My owners manual shows the same thing you posted.
So now I am really confused!

I usually go by the IPLs but either way it wouldn't hurt to try both and see which works best.

Then you can set deck @ say 3 inches & tires properly inflated & on flat ground, measure the blade cutting edge tips, And adjust deck accordingly, if you want it correct..

What I am think is the OP is saying the handle won't go down past #3 with the deck on the ground. The deck handle should be at the bottom of the lift position when the deck is on the ground. And yes I mean the deck is touching the ground which would be #1 on the scale which is the full scalping position. The deck simply can't be position below the solid surface if I understand the physics correctly.
You're using the wrong blade if it won't. But seriously, back during the pandemic, I was laid off from my job as a heavy truck body repair tech and my employer told me to expect call back when the truck lines got back to actually having freight to move, so laying me off was the best option for me because I'd be able to get unemployment insurance. Of course, I'd have to do job searches and one of the job listings was for a CubC repair and setup man at a local dealer. They were going to pay $7.50 an hour. You can bet they were looking to hire the best possible mechanic they could get for that wage. When one takes their equipment in to have it repaired, one may pay top dollar,$100+ an hour for the repair, but you're getting a $7.50 an hour repair. This is dealers, mind you. Go to someone who CARES.(StarTech and others)

Hello all!
I think I have deck height issue.
when I lower my deck all the way down to the ground the height indicator reads 3 and when I am cutting the height indicator reads almost all the way up.
I would like to know if this is normal. The dealership claims this is normal by design.
Any help will be greatly apreciated!
have you checked the owners manual? Some decks are funny, found this problem on another style.
On the floor, lower deck so it to where it stops, loosen adjusting bolts, push the the depth control as far as possible ( make sure it is not jammed), should push to lowest setting, tighten adjusting bolts, should now raise to it full hight.

Three sets of blades from Cub Cadet and no difference.

I was thinking about doing exactly what you suggested but wasn't sure about it being the proper way to do it. I am thinking that cub cadet totally screwed it up when they assembled it.
I just shot the epoxy top coat today and will be installing the deck in a few days.
I will report back with update.
