Thank you - contacted Zama for the information and they gave me the rebuild kit number which I ordered - waiting for it to arrive - I hope they were rightYou can find a kit on say propartsdirect for just one to throw out there. They have zama carb kits. Call propartsdirect. Should have a toll free number.

Homesite XL chain saw - no other numbers/model/unit number/serial number

Ran out of fuel, primer bulb cracked, replaced bulb, refueled it, it would start and die out
Replaced both fuel lines from primer bulb
Did not replace fuel line with filter on it (it held vacuum)
Did replace the fuel filter while it was apart
Replaced air filter (which was deteriorated)
Starts on primer but getting no fuel to remain running - what’s my next move, please
Fuel is mixed properly and freshyou take out the spark preventer screen by the muffler?

Thank you, I will look at his YouTube first - I got a new kit for it, just haven’t had time to work on it - lights started going on in my GMC SierraContact Leon at Leon's Homelite/chainsaw store. He is a Homelite specialist....very knowledgeable....he will steer you in the right direction. Before you contact him,search Leon's YouTube videos....likely he will have a video on the carb on an XL. I just rebuilt 2 XL's with new kits....they both run great.
