X595 diesel

I have a X595 diesel John Deere and it will crank but won't start.I took the electric fuel shutoff valve off and it will run so I put a new valve on and same thing any sujjestion

Could you explain how you 'took the valve off' and got it to run?

Many diesel fuel systems are not self-priming, meaning that if any air gets in the system, you have to get it out before the engine will run.

On the X595 diesel the valve actually opens up when key is on to let fuel go threw and when the voltage or key is turned off it shuts the fuel supply off and the motor quits. My problem I can't get the solenoid to open up or shift so I know I have a electrical problem but have a wiring diagram to go by so I was just trying to get some other opinions

It should be easy enough to check voltage at the solenoid. Key on--should have 12 volts at solenoid. Key off--Zero volts.

Have you done that?

If you have done so yet, Get the real JD service manual .
The electrical troubleshooting section is excellent, layed out in step by step format and easy to follow.
JD do some funny and really complicated wiring.

I am assuming the shut off you took out was on the low pressure (lift) side of the pump.

Yes it was the low pressure side but reading the voltage on the wiring plug it read 12 volts with the key switch on but I might be getting a false reading and my John Deere dealer thought it might be the relay so I changed it too but it was the same problem and it will take about 2 weeks to get the JD Manuel.do u have any other suggestions I would surely appreciate them

What do you mean by a false reading? If you replaced that solenoid, can we assume it to be good? If it has 12 volts going to it, it should open.

The only thing that causes a diesel to not start (assuming good compression) is lack of fuel. A majority of the time, when a good condition diesel won't start, it's due air in the injection system.

You might want to start researching how to bleed the air out of your system. I can't help you with that, I have no experience on Yanmar(I think?) diesels.

Try cracking injector fuel lines loose & see if it will start.

I did that but wasn't getting any fuel either so that's when I took the solenoid valve off and it started right up put the new solenoid on and the same thing
