lmf,

That's a VERY interesting tidbit you posted!!!! I always read threads where someone quotes a "grade" in degrees they are concerned about mowing and I knew there was a "difference" in grade and angle. This grade vs angle picture(with grade % and it's relative angle degree) makes the "difference" much easier to visualize!!! Good work/research!!!!!!

I have a Toro Grandstand unless your yard is flat and has great drainage look at something else.

I thought standers were supposed to be good on hills? :confused2:

There excellent on hills and slopes, in fact they can mow up to 20 degree slopes, places where a ZTR can't go.

I thought so!

If there going to put together a video of hill and slope mowing at least they could find someone who knows how to mow and operate a stander because the guy in that video sure doesn't.

Not that I know how to, but I was thinking the same thing! :confused2:

All manuals tell you to mow across slopes or hills not up and down because going up that slope what will happen if the front end decides it wants to come up :confused2: Watch the video and listen to the drives whine going up the slope, that's sure great for them and he has no control going down the grade. When he did go across at the end of the run coming at you he turned down the slope and couldn't complete the turn and when he got the mower stopped he tried to turn and couldn't, the guy had know idea what he was doing with that mower. If he would have started at the bottom of the slope and mowed across always turning up the slope at each end you never lose control of the mower, he could have completed the job in half the time without endangering himself and the mower.
