Help 25 up Kohler spiting and popping back through carb when starting And finally starts after spinning awhile then seems to run fine. Sounds like valve adjustment but have checked 3 times any ideas ??

What's the numbers off of the engine itself ????

We need to know that.......... I agree with you on a valve adjust .....

Time to take off the head and check the inlet valve.

A sticking inlet valve or loose inlet guide or seat will cause these symptoms as will a fractured flywheel key.
So as already mentioned you need to look at the head.
And as also mentioned we nee the engine make & model number in order to give you anything else other than generic advice.
