What is the situation on advertising ? Still the same, or has it changed ?

Because I for one don't want to see another thread like this soon.

For the moment, it's the same. I think Muhammad is working on it. Maybe we can have a legit place to advertise soon, and the rules will be tougher on spammers. But for now, I fear the spammers will be back, ready to mooch.

As JD suggested elsewhere, we should just let these spam threads die by not replying to them, and report them. If they bump their own threads, let them hang themselves. They might just get the hint we don't like them as all they hear is crickets in their threads....

So, I won't be posting again in this thread.

Me too. I don't think it's quite the same as feeding a troll, because the instigator lacks anonymity.

Frankly, I thought "Mutton Power Equipment" was a good guy who could have contributed greatly to this forum had he not started wrong and been burned at the stake by we villagers. The Western Auto guy, measurably less so.

I would like to take this oppourtunity to thank you for doing your utmost to protect the "Western Auto legacy".
By the by, jetblast, just exactly what is the "Western Auto legacy" (in 50 words or less)?

Not sure what you mean. Any chance you can clarify that a bit?
