Where is the green?

The grass is not so green anymore. The last time we had any rain over 0.1" was a whole month ago, and things have been dry! I haven't mowed any lawns since Saturday (the 7th) and the only reason I am mowing one tomorrow is because the customer want me to....not because it needs it. Things have been so dusty! Here is a pic I took the other day of a lawn to show how dry it is. It's not like how it was...(http://www.lawnmowerforum.com/commercial-residential-lawn-mowing/19495-green-august.html)

There is no green (grass or money coming in)!

Tell them to water the grass. Man I wish the grass would stop growing.
My yards are still on a 14 day cut most yards this week have been over 10 inches. Don't tell anyone but I have got to the point of leaving clippings in the yards. I have never Seen grass grow so fast and thick all summer long. It's crazy.

The guys that bale hay have got 4 cuts this year Normal is 2

It's the same here, we can't keep up with the stuff it growing so fast, and were on a 7 day cut schedule. I know that Tampa set records for rain fall during June, July and August with over 30 inches and the average is some where around 10 to 12 inches for those three months. I'm not leaving clippings although I'm doing a lot of double cutting.

I still consider it a great year, though, because all of the summer I was on a 7-day cutting schedule (except for maybe like a week or two). And most of the time it needed cut in 3-4 days but I didn't have time for that.

I was cutting a yard last week and just stopped shut the mower off and sat there thinking this is bs cheap bastards we should be cutting every 7 days all I am doing is working my mower to hard.
I almost am to the point that I do not like cutting grass anymore. This week I used the toro 72inch and the cub in back yards with small gates.

Can not brag enough about the cub

We're still on a 7 day for most, a couple still 5 day and just today we put some on 10 day. It's raining like a son of a bear right now though, so maybe the 10's will perk back up

A few days after I posted the original post we got a bit of rain, but it didn't do anything for the dry grass. But soon it is going to rain again (maybe a couple inches)--today/tonight. I don't expect the grass to grow much faster, because it is (somehow) almost October and it starts slowing down then. But it's windy right now, and it is going to rain in a few hours. Here is the current radar:

A lot of my lawns I have not mowed in 2 weeks!
