Thank You. I've got a fastrak 54'' cut and its been a damn fine mower but I have about 4 acres that i mow every two weeks or so. Plus 3 more smaller yards. I want a Baddass upgrade. I've got 10 grand cash saved so far not looking to spend more than say 13- ish looking for kawasaki power, 60'' cut . Bottom line would i be happy with the super z ? and what deck. I would truly be thankful for y'alls opinion. Oh and might i find a better deal this winter.

I've read your post on the FR 541 and I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the engine, but that doesn't mean that it's a bad engine. I've run the Kawasaki engines for the last few years and I have over 700 hrs in three years on the FS 541 and 250+ hrs on a FX 651 in less than a year and never had an issue with either. There's nothing wrong with the Kawasaki FR Series engines. If I was buying a Residential mower/ztr that's what I'd want on it.

[...]/QUOTE]

I have worked on a FR engine.
0NE.
Where what I have found is typical construction then it follows
ALL FR series are junk.
Simple fact.
No? Take your FR engine to a mechanical engineer and get their opinion
on that rocker cradle setup.
I'll bet my last buck you trade out faster than Roadrunner on steriods!

I am not going to get into a "slam Kawasaki" discussion, that's
not my style and not helpful to any new buyers.
Also, these small engine manufacturers copy each other.
It is highly likely other engines carry similar hallmarks of
fault/potential fault in the rocker construction.

The whole purpose of this site, and some others, is to review aspects
of design and operation, thousands look...few post.
I am addressing the lookers.

Look at what you are buying is what I am saying.
Some will STILL buy, those with outlooks as you project.
"Oh, he got unlucky"... I agree, out of hundreds of thousands(maybe)
I got the "Friday Engine". For the rest that silastic is likely going to
hold together while they own the ride.
Point is why rely on a monkey to wipe the 'correct' amount of
silastic in the 'correct' method as a guarantee your engine is good to
go for "life"?

The design of that rocker cradle mount is crap... tell me different.

Ok so you've worked on The FR, That doesn't make you the designer or manufacturer of the engine. You say I am not going to get into a "slam Kawasaki" discussion, that's not my style but it appears to me that's all you've done because you had a bad experience with one of there residential engines. Now I agree that out of hundreds of thousands of engines that everyone is running that maybe you happened to get a "Friday Engine" and Kawasaki would probably be the first to admit that it happens and just because you don't like the design doesn't make it crap. Too many people having success with the FR for that assumption. I mean Kawasaki has to many motorcycle and mower engines on the market Residential and Commercial to condemn there designs and engines.

Kawasaki made two excellent engines.
The Mach 500 2 stroke "sceamer".
The "Kraka Four" 900 - their first 4cycle engine.
From there they built their base over Honda, took
them years to get a market after their entry, with crap.

Like I wrote, I aint about bashin' Kawasaki.
I know engines, do you? I put up pix of what I found, you?
I supplied a fix... no charge. You did what?
All you got is specious numbers of showroom propaganda.

Give the waffle a rest, brother and post up the opinion
your mech. engineer writes you. And I aint askin' for
lines of sales pitch from your local grease monkey.
I have seen first hand what your Maryland types produce.
You want to convince folk they are buying quality?
Prove the design is not what I found, and post pix!

Stick your head under a FR541V tapett cover and you might
just get an education.

I've owned a dozen or more motorcycles, ATV, 4 wheelers, Etc. From Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki.
Some of my favorites where Kawasaki.
I currently have a Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4 wheeler. I love the thing. 5600 miles of hard of road trail riding and it never gives me problems.
I currently have a Kawasaki Versys street bike. Same thing. Great bike, Never an issue.
I would like to get a side by side sometime in the future and it will very likely be a Kawasaki Teryx 4.
I have always had great luck with my Kawasaki machines.
