Mine has never done that here when posting messages or quoted messages here on the forum, but it does do that in my private messaging and I've never figured that out.
Just for grins where is your Message Editor Interface setting?
Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing
Basic Editor - A simple text box
Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls

Mine does that when private messaging and I dont care for it.
I switched mine from the Standard Editor to the Full WYSIWYG Editing so will see what happens.

Yeah mine does that in private messages after awhile because when you have a quote inside a quote inside a quote inside a quote and so on, it gets skinnier and skinnier until it's vertical. But it has never happened to me in a post.
Yes, it is just in PM's now that you mention it. I'll look close at my UI here and see if anything helps. I've posted at a lot of forums since I got my first computer in 2000 and this is the first time I've seen this. I would think it increases the server load and bandwidth and could be changed by site admin but maybe not.
