Just bought a used roto-tiller at a yard sale. I don't know much about them except how to dig up the ground. It was really hard to start (took several pulls). What do I need to do to the tiller to get it up and running better?

Make sure you change the spark plug too. My husband does his every year along with all of the other maintenance. He also uses something on the blades to make the dirt not stick to the tines as bad. I think it's some sort of graphite spray or something like that.

Before winter storage, remove the tines and clean all the dirt from them and the shaft. That will prevent rust that could cause the shaft seals to leak.
