Hello!

working on my ZG23-54, with transmission dipstick showing full drained oil and got around gallon or less in drain pan with filter adding maybe a cup to that total, went to local Kubota dealer to buy gallon of Kubota UDT trans oil only to be informed that trans holds 7.9 quarts what gives??? only little less than a gallon drained out. upon refill took 7.9 pints to bring up to full mark after running long enough to fill filter 7.9 pints is just under a gallon misprint on Kubota printed books and website???

You did the best method... You paid attention to how much you drained out After verifying that it was registering Full when you started.
You will rarely drain all of any fluid from container with machined places & parts in it...
But the amount of error you came up with is an obvious misprint.... Just another reason to do it as you did. :smile:KennyV
