Tractor Chains

What are the best type of chains for a tractor. My dad wants a set for Christmas but I don't know the first thing about them does anyone here?
 
What size tractor (tire size)? If you're talking garden tractor, get "two-link" chains, these have the cross-bars every two links compared to 4-link, thus twice as many cross bars. ~~ grnspot110
 
Thank you for that site. It was very helpful. His tractor has 34 inch tires, apparently they aren't overly common, 28 inch are the most common. It would figure.
