Toro Zmaster 286E control arm's question.

I just got a zmaster 286E and have a question. The control arms are auto returning to neutral from the reverse position when let go of but not the forward position, they just stay where ever they are and mower keeps moving forward. Like cruise control. Is this normal. Or do I need to check something. I already replaced the dampers. Thanks again.

Normal as the lap bars are spring loaded to return to neutral from reverse. No such spring load on the forward motion.

Thanks for the response. Guess I'm just going to have to get use to it seems like it would be a safety thing but what do I know. Thank you again.
