I have an ~5 year old Toro Personal Pace mower with a Briggs & Stratton engine. It wasn't starting this spring, so I sent it to a small engine repair shop. They told me there was water in the fuel, and they replaced the fuel and oil. The first time I used the mower after getting it back, it worked great. After that, I've needed to drain some of the gas by loosening the screw on the carburetor to let some fuel drain out before it will start. I've replaced the fuel myself once, too, thinking maybe some residual water was left in the tank, but no luck. Once I get it started, it's very temperamental. I end up mowing sections of lawn at a time.
Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!
